Second-generation Immigrants are Encouraged to be Ambassadors for Society

[Taiwan Immigrants’ Global News Network] Since 2019, the second-generation immigrants have been sought out as ambassadors by National Immigration Agency Taipei City Service Center in an effort to increase national awareness of the diverse ethnic communities, serving as a bridge for cultural exchange between Taiwan and their nations. The "Second-generation Immigrant Ambassador 2.0 Power Building Project’s" recruiting will now formally begin, and the deadline will be March 20. Welcome all the second-generation immigrants to sign up.

Vietnamese second-generation immigrant, Liu (劉德曜) is the one of the trainees of the first session. During the training, he actively participated in various publicity activities to enhance the public's attention to self-protection. Liu (劉德曜) believes that every activity and service is a rare learning experience. He said that "an activity can help improve teamwork and self-improvement from planning, execution to feedback after the event." “With different backgrounds, it is very hard to come by to be able to refer to each other’s cultural experience through this platform.” He plans to join the mass communication industry after graduating in June this year. Now Liu (劉德曜) is a radio host, he claims that: "The ambassador training course is very helpful for career planning. Oral expression and self-exploration can be improved through continuous discussions and implementations."

The director (蘇慧雯) of NIA Taipei City Service Center, said that the 2023 Second-generation Immigrant Ambassador 2.0 Power Building Project has started recruiting. In addition to basic courses this year, free courses for different aspects such as art appreciation, animation software and presentation production have been added. NIA Taipei City Service Center welcomes second-generation immigrants to participate.
