The website cooperates with Aichi Books Co., Ltd. to publish the creations of well-known picture book authors every month, and reproduce them into animations, with Chinese-English, Chinese-Vietnamese, Chinese-Thai and Chinese-Indian subtitles, so that new immigrants mothers and their children can enjoy intellectual parent-child time.
Aichi Books Co., Ltd. was established in 1978. Through preschool education publishing, it sows the seeds of wisdom for children. When a Black Cat Meet a White Cat, describes that a black cat meets a white cat on the grassland, they nod and smile, gradually get close to each other, and become familiar from strangeness little by little. The black cat and the white cat, one is like starry sky at night, and the other is like the white clouds in the blue sky. They seem to be two extremes, but they meet, know each other and cherish each other wonderfully.
Through picture books, Aichi wants to share with children; when we meet a friend we like, we always want to present the best side, just like the black cat who loves self-expression. Yet the white cat always listens quietly and accepts the way black cat is. On that path of growing up, the black cat finally realized: the courage lies in acceptance and honesty to oneself.
The two creators of When the Black Cat Meets the White Cat, Li,Zi-Rong(李紫蓉) is a master of English of Indiana University in the United States. She is currently living in Germany and is dedicated to the creation and translation of children's books and the composition of children's songs. Her work Little Mouse Pupu (Xinyi Publishing) won the Golden Dragon Award, and Miwoo and Awang (Xinyi Publishing) won the Xinyi Children's Literature Award for Best Works and Best Books for Everyone to Read in 2004.
Another author, Hu, Jia-Qi(胡家琪),who excels in three-dimensional engineering, hand-drawing, and computer graphics. Hu like to feel being challenged by mastering different materials and visual styles. For different story content, Hu will use different painting techniques to interpret the conception. Hu is also the author of The King and the Magic Bean and other books.
Aichi Books Co., Ltd. hopes that through this beautiful and profound story to tell children that every encounter is learning of love which can help us understand ourselves and others, and then accept one and other.
