The Ministry of Education (MOE) revised the "Guidelines for the Prevention of Epidemics in Schools below Senior High Schools including Kindergartens". Starting from January 1, 2022, school staff should have received 2 doses of the vaccine for 14 days. The new staff who have not received 2 doses of vaccines for 14 days, should provide a rapid antigen test report (or rapid test kit) within 3 days before the first day of work.

MOE stated that school staff is required to complete the administration of 2 doses of vaccines before December 17 in accordance with the new epidemic prevention measures.

Starting from January 1, 2022, school staff must have received two doses of vaccines or need to take a rapid antigen test before entering the campus. At the same time, to encourage school staff to be fully vaccinated as soon as possible, MOE recommends that schools can show the current vaccination rate on the notice board.

In addition, MOE pointed out that if school staff has been issued a certificate by a doctor that vaccination is not recommended or those cannot get vaccinated due to personal factors, should provide a negative nucleic acid test (PCR) report or rapid antigen test report within 3 days.

At the same time, MOE requires the competent authorities of all schools to strengthen the implementation of epidemic prevention measures in schools.
