The Workforce Development Agency (WDA) of the Ministry of Labor recently received reports from the public that a Facebook page titled "Vocational Training Courses - Government Subsidies 80%-100%" was being used to lure people with advertisements claiming "80% or 100% government subsidies for vocational training fees" and offering various courses like IoT applications, computer-aided mechanical drawing, and electrical wiring. The page then guided individuals to join a Line group, where personal information was illegally obtained. In response, the WDA has issued a serious clarification that this page is not officially established by the government and has filed a lawsuit with the judicial authorities. The WDA reminds the public not to be deceived by such scams.
The WDA emphasized that all information regarding vocational training courses is publicly available through the "Integrated Vocational Training Website" (https://course.taiwanjobs.gov.tw/), where online registration is also provided. The WDA urges the public, if they receive such advertisements, especially those guiding them to join groups or requesting personal information, to immediately verify the authenticity with the WDA to protect their rights. The WDA strongly urges scam groups not to test the law. Any illegal activities, once verified, will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law without leniency.
