The Graduate Institute of Digital Learning and Education of National Taiwan University of Science and Technology has used online teaching techniques to develop its own teaching materials and conducted teacher training workshops in Kenya to aid Kenya in promoting digital education as international co-learning has become a popular teaching method.
Many international students, notably African students, are drawn to National Taiwan University of Science and Technology. In this co-learning initiative, alumni from Kenya collaborated to help high school students in Nyeri City enroll in online courses for teacher preparation.

According to an associate professor at the Graduate Institute of Digital Learning and Education of National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, collaboration between Taiwan and Africa is frequently characterized by a one-way resource input and a lack of two-way communication because of geographical restrictions. As a result, it is hoped that through collaboration between the Graduate Institute of Digital Learning and Education and the International Volunteer Exchange Association, self-created teaching materials combined with information technology, and collaboration with Kenya through remote two-way teacher training, equal and mutually beneficial knowledge exchange will be achieved.
The Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations and social emotional learning are the themes of the co-learning course for digital teacher training. Taiwanese students can also advance their language proficiency through cross-border exchanges by using "MangaChat" to conduct cross-border exchanges.

Students from National Taiwan University of Science and Technology who took part in the project noted that through interdisciplinary communication, they gained the confidence to connect with people from around the world, overcome linguistic and geographic barriers, and open up more opportunities for remote collaboration. They anticipate getting more chances for African and Taiwanese educational practices in the future.
