Enterovirus is now under an outbreak in Taiwan. Taiwan Centers of Disease Control (CDC) reports that from May 7 to May 13, there were over 12,000 visits to a doctor for enterovirus-related symptoms. Additionally, the CDC has noted that enteroviruses are currently active in the neighborhood. Ten public and private kindergartens in Taichung City have canceled sessions due to enteroviruses.

The CDC also advises parents of children under five to focus more on personal hygiene, form the habit of often washing their hands, and regularly disinfect and clean toys and other things that kids commonly contact. To lessen the likelihood of viral transmission, keep ill children at home or as far away from other babies and young children as possible. They should as well avoid traveling to public areas.
