When applying for a job, international students should bear in mind a few points, the Chiayi County Police Department reminds them. These include notifying friends and family ahead of time about the interview location or asking them to accompany them there, making sure the information in the job posting is reasonable, and actively gathering information about the recruiting agency. Furthermore, one should be cautious and verify information from several sources if you come across employment ads promising large incomes and quick money.

Furthermore, the Chiayi County Police Department would like to advise international students looking for work in Taiwan that they might face legal repercussions and a maximum five-year jail term if their employer demands account lending or trading. Call 110 to report a crime or the 165 anti-fraud hotline if you know of any suspected fraud.
