According to The China Post, the Shalu Leisure Landscape Trail in Taichung, located under the National Highway No. 3, was opened in 2006. Recently, it has become a popular attraction due to many people taking photos and checking in. It is known as the "miniature Great Wall of Taiwan".

The Shalu leisure landscape trail is about 2 kilometers long. The trail is a wooden road on a gentle slope. Surrounded by greenery and lit up by the sun, the trail seems to stretch endlessly.
The photo of Shalu Leisure Landscape went viral, and the trail was even dubbed “the miniature Great Wall of Taiwan,” and a great number of social media users commented, “Stunning” at the bottom.
The photo was also later reposted on Reddit, where it garnered appreciation from foreigners in Taiwan with one praising, “This is brutalism done right.”
Others also commented that “Taiwan is a country that knows how to do infrastructure” and “What a beautiful country.”
Rethinking the connection between linear space and people's lives and improving street views, the Leisure Landscape was created to provide a new entertainment option.
In addition, there is also a bicycle trail next to the park, which can be connected to Taichung Metropolitan Park. The beautiful campus of Hungkuang University and Providence University are also good choices for family outings. There is also a large parking lot next to the entrance of the trail which makes it easily accessible to tourists.
