Attention to parents! Outsiders entering campus need to present the Vaccination Record (yellow card)

In response to the arrival of variant Omicron, Taitung County Government announced the latest Epidemic Prevention Principles for schools during the winter break – “Outsiders entering the campus for business purposes / other purposes need to present the Vaccination Record (yellow card) as a proof of completing two doses of vaccine”.

Taitung County Government Education Department announced epidemic prevention regulations as follows.

1. Schools staff / students participating in activities such as teaching visits, exchanges or competitions outside the county must submit an epidemic prevention plan for approval by the government.

2. Outsiders entering the campus for business, study, camp activities, etc. need to present the documents as below. (1) The "yellow card as a proof of completing two doses of vaccine" (2) If the individuals have not completed two doses of vaccines, one needs to present a negative nucleic acid test (PCR) report or rapid antigen test report within 3 days.

3. In response to the measures of “non-stop learning during the suspension of classes”, it is recommended that teachers should conduct an online teaching drill.

Education Department emphasized that at present, more than 90% of the teachers and staff of the schools in Taitung County have received the second dose of the vaccine. This includes public and private elementary schools, junior & senior high schools, vocational high schools, and kindergartens.

The teaching staff is encouraged to get vaccinated as soon as possible, students are also urged to wash hands frequently, wear a mask, and maintain social distancing to stop the potential spread of the highly contagious variant within the school.
