The Chiayi Charitable Organization to Promote Bursary Program for Second-generation Immigrants with NIA

[Taiwan Immigrants’ Global News Network] Ruan (阮氏蘭), the Vietnamese second-generation immigrant whose mother left her hometown when she was 3 years old to work in Taiwan in order to support the family. She traveled to Taiwan by herself to assist her mother up until the time she finished junior high school so that she could spend more time with her. The Chiayi Charitable Organization (嘉邑行善團) promotes student aid initiatives and offers chances for deserving college students from low-income households all over the nation to pursue their education in order to assist kids from disadvantaged backgrounds. Again, Ruan received a scholarship worth NT$50,000 for her exceptional work.

Ruan claimed that it was not easy for her when she first came to Taiwan, but she learnt a lot from these experiences and wants to let people know that you have the power to choose how you spend your life and how the future will turn out. Ruan is appreciative of everyone who has assisted her during the stay in Taiwan. She said she would like to assist more deserving people and contribute to Taiwanese society.

According to the chairman of the Chiayi Charitable Organization (徐文志), that regardless of nationality, that charity has no boundaries. He became aware of the challenges children from low-income households facing in accessing educational opportunities through actual visits. The Chiayi Charitable Organization wants to assist kids so that family circumstances don't restrict their prospects for growth. Until yet, 302 students have received bursaries as a result of the promotion of the bursary program. They will keep helping students who are having trouble pursuing their aspirations fearlessly in the future.

The director of NIA Chiayi City Service Center (黃艷薰) claimed that National Immigration Agency will keep promoting the support, guidance, and empowerment of new immigrants and their children, as well as helping new immigrants who run into unique situations find solutions to their problems through public-private partnerships.
