The Longgang District of Taoyuan City is home to the Immigrant Center for Learning in the South District. New immigrants are moving here from nations including Myanmar, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and others. A multicultural community has been formed at the same time by the simultaneous migration of Hakka and Hokkien people.

The NIA Taoyuan City Service Center made an announcement that both second-generation immigrants and Taiwanese youngsters may participate in the training camp to the new immigrants who attended the Southeast Asian Cultural Carnival. It is anticipated that 50 new immigrants’ children and 10 Taiwanese youngsters would enroll. The course's material is extensive and varied, encouraging students to research Taiwanese history, culture, and folklore while fusing multiculturalism from many cultures to enhance the area's variety and positive spirit.

The promotion of the training camp, according to the director of the NIA Taoyuan City Service Center, encourages new immigrants’ families to make the most of their linguistic advantages and strengthens the mother tongue heritage of the second-generation immigrants. They also urge businesses and society to support intercultural interactions and pay attention to the education of the children of new immigrants.
