[Taiwan Immigrants’ Global News Network] In order to improve the quality of nursing care, the New Taipei City Labor Bureau continues to provide the service of "Free home-based guidance on nursing skills" (照護技巧免費到宅指導). Citizens who hire foreign care workers at home can apply through the 1966 hotline. Professional care attendants will come to the house to demonstrate various skills including bathing, practical skills such as bathing in bed, changing clothes, oral care, turning over and patting the back, and moving positions, etc., accompanied by interpreters at home to reduce the language barrier in teaching and shorten the running-in period between newly hired caregivers and elders.
