According to Hong Kong to scrap isolation requirement for people with COVID-19 | Inquirer News, that one of the remaining significant coronavirus limitations in place in the Asian financial hub will be lifted as of January 30 according to Hong Kong, which will no longer require those who have COVID-19 to be quarantined.

The elimination of the isolation restrictions is a part of the decision to change COVID-19's classification from a severe respiratory disease to an endemic disease, and it comes after China made a related decision on January 8th.

The mayor of the city, John Lee, announced his decision to revoke the COVID quarantine order during a legislative meeting on Thursday. One of the crucial steps toward normalcy is this. However, masks are still necessary to be worn in Hong Kong unless you are exercising.

For the first time since the start of the pandemic, high-speed rail services between Hong Kong and the mainland of China were restarted last week. Following China's dramatic U-turn on its "zero-COVID" policy, there has been a huge wave of infections on the mainland at the time of the re-opening.
