In her statement at the donation ceremony, Ms. Ya-Ping (Abby) Lee, Taiwan's Representative to Israel, said that Israel and Taiwan had recently forged close ties in the humanitarian and educational sectors. Together with friends from all walks of life in Israel, Taiwan will continue to support the underprivileged groups and wants to aid in the integration of the regional multiethnic communities.

Hanoch Dov Milwidsky, a member of the Israeli parliament, expressed his happiness at promoting the two countries' collaboration in humanitarian and educational matters and thanked Taiwan for helping Israel's underprivileged children, particularly with this project's consideration of Jews, Arabs, and new immigrants.

The Gesher Special Education School opened its doors in 2019. Hebrew "bridge" is transliterated as "Gesher," the name of the school. The school is dedicated to helping children with disabilities from underprivileged families develop life skills, to act as a link between young people and society, and to improve the integration of various ethnic groups in the neighborhood.
