The Council of Indigenous Peoples' chairman, Icyang Parod, stated that the first summit was held in New Zealand, the second in Australia, and the third in Taiwan. The goal of these summits is to encourage Taiwanese tribal tourism and encourage people both domestically and internationally to join up, share in the allure of tribal tourism, and uphold the importance of honoring culture and preserving the environment.

Both Mr. Michael Googan, the deputy representative of Australia in Taiwan, and Mark Pearson, a representative of the New Zealand Commerce and Industry Office, will be attending this summit and think it will be a fantastic chance for indigenous peoples throughout the world to share their experiences.
