“Taiwan Excellence” (台灣精品) donated US$10,000 worth of seasonal fruits to three hospitals in Vietnam today, and was presented by the Taiwan resident representative in Vietnam, Shi Jui-chi (石瑞琦), together with Taiwanese businessmen.
Bach Mai Hospital (白梅醫院 ) is grateful to Taiwan for the gesture and hopes that Taiwan and Vietnam will be able to share their medical experience with each other in the future.

More than 30,000 people have been infected since the outbreak of COVID-19 in Vietnam in January last year. "Taiwan Excellence" remembers the contribution of Vietnamese medical personnel in the fight against the epidemic, allocating 230 million Vietnamese Dong (around NT$280,000) to purchase Mango from Son La Province (山勒省) and Red Dragon Fruit in Province from Long An Province (龍安省) for the Bach Mai Hospital, National Hospital of Tropical Diseases (中央熱帶疾病醫院) and the Lung Center Hospital (中央肺病醫院) in Hanoi City (河內市).

Shi Jui-chi (石瑞琦) today went to Bach Mai Hospital with the President of the Council of Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (越南台灣商會聯合總會), Kao Kuo-hua (高國華), and Hong Chi-hua (洪志華), President of the Hanoi Branch of the Council of Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce (河內台商會), to present the gifts of fruits.

Shi Jui-chi said that there are many Taiwanese businessmen who invest and live in Vietnam. They are grateful to the Vietnamese government and to all the medical personnel for their care during the Covid-19 pandemic, and for purchasing agricultural products in Vietnam that were not sold during the epidemic. This is to pay tribute to the medical staff and help with the lives of farmers.

Doan Thu Tra, president of the Bach Mai Hospital union and deputy director of the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases, received Taiwan's gifts on behalf of the 4,000 medical workers at Bach Mai Hospital. She hopes to always welcome Taiwanese to come to Vietnam and share medical experiences and promote mutual development.
Hoang Thi Phu Bang, deputy director of the social affairs department at Bach Mai Hospital, said she was "very touched" to receive Taiwan purchased Vietnamese crops today. This will help improve the health of medical personnel and enable them to continue their mission of ensuring the health of the people.
