[Taiwan Immigrants’ Global News Network] March 8th is International Women's Day, and Google's homepage has been changed with an entirely animated film of women holding hands, politicians, athletes, and others serve as symbols for the exceptional achievements of women in many fields of life.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Taiwan Gender Equality Week will begin March 7 in New York City with activities showcasing initiatives by the nation's public and commercial sectors to promote gender equality in the scientific and technology domains. Meanwhile, the 67th Commission on the Status of Women, CSW will be themed with innovation of technology in New York City, too.

Taiwan Night will kick off the week and take place at the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office. According to the MOFA, it will feature a fashion display that combines costume design, digital technology, and sustainability advocacy.
The first female deputy minister (陳儀莊) of the National Science and Technology Council in Taiwan, will present a seminar on "Promoting Gender Equality in the Digital Age" where she will discuss the nation's attempts to advance gender inclusion and its results to date.

Also, the "Power of Women" short video created by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs presents great women in Taiwan's technological sector and features other excellent women in the field.
