In order to cultivate more bilingual talented people, Taitung County Government recently held a "Cross-Generation Bilingual Achievement Presentation Conference". The county magistrate, Qing-Ling Rao, mentioned that in the past three years, a total of 28 bases have been cultivated to provide bilingual tour guides. This year, they went to Orchid Island to finish the tasks in every bases; at the same time, it also cooperates with teaching units, from Taitung University in the first year, down to this year's Taitung College, so that students can experience the multiculturalism and understand the history of this land and then be able to introduce Taitung to foreigners in English.
The bases participating in bilingual training echo the tourism trend in the post-epidemic era and have a profound connection with local culture. Among the 9 Cultivation bases, 8 are aboriginal cultural bases, all of which demonstrate the soft power of international tourism and provide international tourists with more diversification and travel feast. A total of 20 trainees have been trained in the "Cross-Generation Learning Bilingual Power Building Program" this year. We are looking forward to the training of young soldiers in various districts in Taitung with bilingual power to become an important promoter of Taitung's international tourism and use English to guide the tourist with confident.
