To care about migrant worker’s rights and raise awareness of “Prevention of African Swine Fever”, National Immigration Agency (Nantou County Service Center), SING BEE ENTERPRISE CO., LTD. (欣美實業股份有限公司) and NAK SEALING TECHNOLOGIES CORPORATION (茂順密封元件科技股份有限公司) held 3 rounds of activities for migrant workers.
Interpreters delivered the message in Vietnamese, Indonesian, Thai, and Bahasa Indonesia, enabling more migrants to understand the relevant measures and their rights.

Taiwan’s emergency center for African swine fever (ASF) stated that 15 countries in Asia are suffering from the ASF, including Thailand, China, Mongolia, Vietnam, Cambodia, North Korea, Laos, Myanmar, Philippines, South Korea, Timor-Leste, Indonesia, India, Malaysia, and Bhutan.
NIA emphasized that the people bringing pork products from ASF-infected zones will be fined up to 1 million New Taiwan dollars. If the individuals are unable to pay, they will be refused to enter Taiwan. If the individuals violate the regulations by sending or purchasing pork products from abroad to Taiwan, one can be sentenced to a maximum of 7-year imprisonment and a fine of 3 million New Taiwan dollars.

Cai Chong Fu (蔡崇富), the Director of Nantou County Service Center, mentioned it is understandable that migrant workers would miss their hometown tastes while working overseas. However, they are still required to abide by laws in Taiwan.
