Overseas Chinese University creates a bilingual environment on campus to enhance students' strength in the workplace

Overseas Chinese University held the “2022 Party with English only”, and the students responded enthusiastically. The purpose of the event was to create more opportunities for students to speak English. Many students expressed their   gratitude on the high quality learning environment and cultivation provided by the University in English. Appreciating parents for upbringing, teachers for their teaching, and classmates for their support. The school’s goal is to create a "happy university”.

In order to create the best English learning environment and improve students' English ability, the school held an English only "Thanksgiving" party. By holding an English only party, students are encouraged to speak English and master in English since it is a tool for global communication to enhance students’ strength in a workplace.

Chairman of Overseas Chinese University, Bo-Tao Chen, said that the most effective way to learn a foreign language is that the students will need to have the courage to speak. At the same time, in order to increase students' English listening through training, the school gave speeches in both Chinese and English at important celebrations and student activities. In addition, the school offers 808 flexible bilingual courses, with English textbooks and English-based or English-based teaching methods supplemented by Chinese, and gradually introduces English teaching to strengthen students' listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.
