The Tourism Bureau, MOTC recently invited Taiwanese hotels, travel agencies, airlines, souvenir firms, and performance groups to organize three B2B tourism marketing meetings in Australia and New Zealand to develop the post-epidemic tourist market. Australian travel experts were invited to speak about their travels to Taiwan during the promotion conference, and a "cooking class" was organized to promote Taiwan by making up some delectable dishes.

Three tourism promotion events will be held in Auckland, New Zealand; Sydney, Australia; and Brisbane, Australia on September 4, 6, and 7, according to the Taipei Representative Office of the Republic of Singapore. The three events were open to 124 industry representatives from Australia and New Zealand. Following their participation in this marketing conference, some Taiwanese businessmen claimed they had made the decision to further examine collaboration ideas with regional tourist industry operators.

Approximately 48,000 tourists from Australia and New Zealand visited Taiwan in total between January and July of this year, according to statistics from the Tourism Bureau, MOTC, which indicates a gradual return to pre-epidemic levels. More than half of these visitors come to Taiwan for tourism.
