Level 3 Alert extended to July 12. The Ministry of Education suspends school summer camps and activities
The Covid-19 epidemic in the country has not slowed down, and nationwide level 3 alert is extended to July 12. The Ministry of Education (教育部) announced that educational institutions including children day care centers, private kindergartens, and cram schools will be closed. Different schools summer camps are recommended to stop or be postponed and to use online interaction instead. With this wave of extension, the child after-school day care center, cram schools, public and private kindergartens are the ones mainly affected. The Ministry of Education explained today, that during the level 3 alert period, the different educational institutions should tell their students not to physically go to attend school.

The Ministry of Education recommends for the different schools with plans before July 12 to hold summer camps and activities to stop, postpone or use online interactive methods first, then make adjustments later on depending on the covid epidemic situation. In addition, to take care of disadvantaged students during summer vacation, meal assistance will still be provided to these students below senior high school. They are not to go to attend school but advised to use online learning instead.
