The Vision Pavilion's "Chill+案內所 Small Trip" has provided citizens with an exciting journey to deeply understand "Cultural New Silk Road 2.0" and the "Double Park Project." The participants, totaling 32 people ranging from teenagers to seniors, came from Chiayi, Tainan, and Taichung. They were curious about local revitalization, landscape, and community culture, and actively engaged in the event.
The event began at the Xiping Community Development Association, with Liu Yuxin from Erben Planning and Design Consulting, who has long been involved in urban design research, as the guide for the Double Park Project. Liu provided a detailed introduction to the context of Youzhong Park and Fanzai Park. Participants visited Fanzai Park, known for its robot and UFO-themed playgrounds, and then proceeded to DAY DAY, a lifestyle experiment base, to experience the innovative charm of the park aesthetics experimental field."Chill+案內" is a play on the phrase "笑甲按呢," combining English, Taiwanese Hokkien, and Japanese. It aims for every participant to not only absorb the essence of the city's historical and cultural heritage during the tour but also leave with a satisfied smile. After the tour, participants returned to the Xiping Community Development Association Activity Center, where they acted as urban governance consultants. Through discussions, they responded to urban changes and their experiences, co-creating an ideal park appearance. The event received enthusiastic feedback from the public, showing deep concern for Chiayi's future blueprint and highlighting the Vision Pavilion's important role in urban space communication.
The Urban Development Department of the city government stated that this year's planning follows the city's "Top Ten Flagship Projects" and focuses on three development axes: "Cultural New Silk Road 2.0," "Western District Major Development," and "Old City Innovation." From July this year to January next year, the Vision Pavilion will hold five city walking workshops. The event name "Chill+案內所 Small Trip" combines English, Hokkien, and Japanese, and is a homophone for "笑甲按呢" (laugh and be satisfied), meaning that participants will not only absorb the essence of the city's historical and cultural elements but also leave with a satisfied smile.
The next event is scheduled for August 3 at 2 PM on the 32nd floor of the Chiayi Fullon VOCO Hotel. Interested citizens are welcome to follow Vision Pavilion's Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/chiayipopup/) to explore the beauty of Chiayi's cityscape and experience the unique charm of the Cultural New Silk Road 2.0.
