Nantou held the "Mid-Autumn Festival Care Activity" to invite "new immigrants' families" to have a safe holiday!

The Veterans Affairs Council of Nantou County (南投縣榮民服務處) has strengthened the care and service for retired officers and soldiers (family members), veteran students and new immigrants to adapt to their lives, so that they can still feel the autumn festival atmosphere and social care during the epidemic, and encourage the students to study hard, to be grateful, and to enjoy a warm and peaceful holiday. The Mid-Autumn Festival New Residents’ Life Adaptation Counseling and Happy Family Recognition and Meet Activities were held in the auditorium.

At the start of the event, the Nantou County Service Station of the National Immigration Agency (NIA, 移民署南投縣服務站) explained to the participants about the prevention of human trafficking and various welfare rights and interests of new immigrants, so that the participants can understand the laws and their rights, to shorten the cultural gap and to promote the integration of multicultural ethnic groups. Through participation in festivals and with warm care services, the new immigrants and their families can enhance their social adaptation and social acceptance experience.

Chiu Chi-Hsien (邱奇賢), Director of Nantou County Veterans Affairs Council, expressed special thanks to the co-organizers and sponsors of this event. He also said that there will be a series of care services such as community care, hospitalization, and release of condolence money before the autumn festival. Finally, the retired officers and soldiers and their families received moon cake gift boxes, charity supplies and the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival grapefruits prepared by the organizer.
