The Job Bank poll indicates that now is the busiest time of year for part-time employment. The number of part-time job openings throughout the summer this year will be close to 190,000, which is a record high for the same time period. These positions include those for fitness trainers, Southeast Asian interpreters, and home appliance cleaners with hourly wages over NT$1,000 in job openings. The real wage given, however, is not very great due to the scarcity of expert plumbers, and inexperienced individuals are typically not employed.
On the job search website, there are openings for home appliance cleaners who can earn up to NT$4,000 per hour, which is a competitive wage. Professional air conditioning experts claim that a cleaning operation for an air conditioner only costs NT$3,000 and just one person is needed. The master arrives at the location in about 2 hours. The actual wage cannot be as high as claimed online, and hiring untrained cleaners might result in water leaks or air conditioner damage.

Ministry of Labor reminds employers to declare "labor insurance," "employment insurance," and "occupational accident insurance" on the day of hiring. If the employee is a work-study student, they must also tick and indicate "partial working hours" when declaring, in order to correctly calculate the relevant insurance premiums and labor pensions. Students who work throughout the summer vocation should be mindful of their personal rights.
