According to The Straits Times, on February 12, Jewel Changi Airport was immersed in song and color for the 50th Chingay Parade celebrations.
Against the backdrop of the HSBC Rain Vortex, the world's tallest indoor waterfall, and the Shiseido Forest Valley, 500 artists from Singapore and around the world sang and danced.

The Chingay showcase, titled Ignite Our Dreams, was broadcast live on Saturday on the Chingay website, Facebook, and TikTok.
The display at Jewel was attended by a limited group of invited visitors, including Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and his wife Ho Ching, as well as President Halimah Yacob and her husband Mohamed Abdullah Alhabshee.

A solo by 15-year-old violinist Chloe Chua, a dragon and lion dance, and ballet and contemporary dance acts were among the highlights of the evening.
Traditional Chinese big-headed dolls launched the event by waacking - a street dancing form - to the music of a modified Chinese folk song Feng Yang Hua Gu, a tribute to the early Chingay parades (flower drums in Fengyang). In Anhui province, the Fengyang Flower Drum is a popular folk song and dance performance.

After going digital for the first-time last year, the float parade made a reappearance at this year's Chingay celebrations. Among the highlights were seventeen colorful tiny floats showcasing, among other things, Singapore's attractions.
The floats were created by 1,400 residents from various constituencies using balloons and three-dimensional art.
