NIA holds “Multicultural & Nurturing Camp for immigrants’ children” with free board and lodging provided

To enable the second generation of immigrants to use their skills, as well as combine the local characteristics of Taiwan and the culture of their parents’ hometowns, the National Immigration Agency (NIA) is organizing a free 5-day & 4-night event for immigrants. The event is free and will be held in Chang Gung Health And Culture Village in Taoyuan. Besides, it is tentatively scheduled from July 25 to July 29 this year.

The “Multicultural & Nurturing Camp for immigrants’ children” allows participants to visit attractions that are rich in cultural diversity. It is hoped that through the activity, immigrants would pass their mother tongues to their children, and call on every sector of the society and businesses to pay attention to the education and talents of these children.

The purpose of the camp is to combine local creations and multicultural elements and stimulate creativity, nurturing more talents in Taiwan.

A series of activities include attraction visiting, lectures, group discussions, presentations, etc. This activity is expected to recruit 60 students (including 50 children of immigrants and 10 children of Taiwanese), with free board and lodging for five days and four nights.
