Maokong, a picturesque location in Wenshan District of Taipei City, is a great place to visit at any time of day or night. Every year, there are many blossoming seasons from January through May, including those for apricot flower, cherry blossom, and tung tree blooms. Maokong is a fantastic location to visit after dark since it provides a breathtaking scenery of Taipei City at night. Finding a tea café with a beautiful view where one may sip tea, sample tea cuisine, and take in the nighttime scenery is also a wise decision for tourists.

Zhangshu Trail (樟樹步道) of Maokong is intended for trekking, which is easy and perfect for visitors to enjoy the scenery. The trial is near to Maokong Gondola Station, tea gardens can be seen along the way, and there is also installation art of rural culture. Every January and February, tourists can enjoy the lupine flowers along the Zhangshu Trail.

These two paths, "Pothole Trail" (壺穴步道) and " Zhanghu Trail," (樟湖步道) have more stairs but have a more mountainous sense. At the base of the Pothole Trail locates streams and unique "pothole terrain." Tourists can also enjoy tung tree blooms on the Zhanghu Trail every year from April to May. The "Ying He Cave Hiking Trail" can be reached by continuing along the Zhanghu Trail. Xindian District is located at the other end of Maokong. The "Ying He Cave Waterfall" (銀河洞越嶺步道) is the most well-known scenic location along the trail. There is a "Lu Dongbin Temple" (呂洞賓廟) close to the waterfall. The public is welcome to view the temple, which appears to be embedded in the rock wall.

Tourists can pick a restaurant with a stunning view at night and dine while taking in the nighttime scenery of Taipei City. In Maokong Tea Restaurant, the majority of the dishes are created by combining different types of tea leaves to create unique tea dishes, such as common tea fried rice, Tieguanyin chicken soup, tea fried eggs, etc., so that the food not only preserves its original flavor but also gains the aroma of tea leaves.
Three more options for getting to Maokong are listed in addition to driving oneself. To get to Maokong, one can either take the Maokong cable car, a bus, or hike up the "Zhangshan Temple Trail" (樟山寺步道) on the back mountain of Chengchi University.
