The “Hung Galaxy,” a contemporary art exhibition with the support of Ministry of Culture (MOC, 文化部) by Taiwanese sculptor Hung-Yi, has been sweeping across Spain, first gaining popularity in Valencia's City of Arts and Sciences in December 2020.
Fourteen dazzling pieces of sculpture will catch more attention in Benidorm on the Costa Blanca from April to mid-September this year so that residents and holidaymakers alike can enjoy the beauty of Taiwan's contemporary art.

Spain ended the Covid-19 state of emergency this May, easing its restrictions. Through media connection, Hung-Yi, along with the mayor, Toni Pérez, the Councilor for Historical and Cultural Heritage, Ana Pellicer, the curator, Eduardo Alcalde, and overseas Chinese Annie Tseng (曾安妮) et al., participated in the grand opening of the exhibition.

Hung-Yi is a 50-year-old sculptor whose work has been exhibited in numerous art museums and galleries worldwide, from Hakone, Japan, to Washington, New York, and San Francisco in the U.S.. Through his work of originality and personal style, Hung hopes to delight the world tortured by the pandemic with Taiwanese patterns and colors.
