Yi Guo (伊果), a new Filipino immigrant, is on the list of Hsinchu County's exemplary dads for this year. The Hsinchu County Mayor (楊文科) paid Yi Guo a personal visit a few days ago and offered his congratulations on being named this year's model parent.

Yi Guo, a 39-year-old worker from the Philippines, met his Taiwanese wife while in Taiwan in 2017 for business. The couple wed in 2019. The two also made the decision to reside in Taiwan because the wife's family is already there.
Yi Guo thinks that Taiwan is a very safe location, and that Taiwanese people are extremely nice and warm-hearted. Yi Guo is a nice husband and parent, according to Yi Guo's wife. He frequently teaches her and their kids how to become better persons when facing challenges in life. She is confident that over time, the husband and wife will improve and set a better example for the kids.
