The Prime Minister of Lithuania, Ingrida Simonyte, announced on June 22 that they are donating 20,000 doses of the AZ vaccine to Taiwan. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs mentioned that Taiwan also donated 100,000 medical face masks to Lithuania in April last year. Now that Taiwan is facing the struggles of this epidemic, Lithuania’s act of kindness gives hope and warms the hearts of 23 million people in Taiwan. This proves that “Virtue never stands alone. Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that when the epidemic situation in Lithuania was severe, Taiwan donated 100,000 medical face masks to Lithuania to give support to their frontline and medical staff. Lithuania is also the first country of the European Union to initiate vaccine donations for Taiwan.
