The National Immigration Agency is in charge of maintaining Taiwan's national border security and is tasked with a number of duties, including defending national security, advancing multiculturalism, and defending the human rights of immigrants, according to Interior Minister Lin Yu-chang.

During their studies, students in this batch, including Jiang Bo-qing from the Indonesian language group, interned at Taoyuan Airport. They worked for the Overseas Community Affairs Council and the aviation business after graduating, but they were still desperate to work for the National Immigration Agency, so they decided to apply.

A student in the Thai language group named Ke You-ru once took on a case to help the Ministry of Justice translate important criminal case documents while it was still in the planning stages. A counterfeit passport was found on Chen Qiao-yi, a Vietnamese language group student working as a front-line license inspection officer at Taoyuan Airport. Zhang Yun, a student in the English group, has several years of experience working for EVA Air as a ground handler. Zhang communicates with NIA staff members frequently; she made the decision to apply for the exam after realizing how professional the position was. A student in the Vietnamese language group named Jian Fang felt compelled to apply for NIA because she recognized the helplessness of international students in a strange environment.
