Today, on the 17th, the 11th batch of students in the immigration class attended a professional training ending ceremony hosted by National Immigration Agency (NIA), Ministry of the Interior. Attending the event in person, Interior Minister, Lin Yu-chang confirmed that the 45 students distinguished themselves from the several other hopefuls. The learners must complete junior rescue technician training, physical (technical) training, and other courses over the three to nine month professional training term in addition to professional courses. It is envisioned that the trainees of the future will emerge as the exceptional new force within the National Immigration Agency to apply everything they've learned to their profession and emerge as the nation's finest border security gatekeeper.

During their studies, students in this batch, including Jiang Bo-qing from the Indonesian language group, interned at Taoyuan Airport. They worked for the Overseas Community Affairs Council and the aviation business after graduating, but they were still desperate to work for the National Immigration Agency, so they decided to apply.
A student in the Thai language group named Ke You-ru once took on a case to help the Ministry of Justice translate important criminal case documents while it was still in the planning stages. A counterfeit passport was found on Chen Qiao-yi, a Vietnamese language group student working as a front-line license inspection officer at Taoyuan Airport. Zhang Yun, a student in the English group, has several years of experience working for EVA Air as a ground handler. Zhang communicates with NIA staff members frequently; she made the decision to apply for the exam after realizing how professional the position was. A student in the Vietnamese language group named Jian Fang felt compelled to apply for NIA because she recognized the helplessness of international students in a strange environment.

Lastly, Interior Minister Lin Yu-chang expressed his hope that every new immigration officer would continue to hone their personal professionalism and serve with dedication to protect our national borders and uphold our obligations as a society,
in addition to affirming the National Immigration Agency's successful outcomes during the epidemic period by collaborating with the central border epidemic prevention and continuing to assist in the prevention and control of African swine fever.
