 KidsFest of 5 ASEAN Countries (憶兒時:南方童樂會) is a unique exhibition that was established in collaboration between the National Science and Technology Museum and the Kaohsiung Public Library. Children under the age of six are the main targets, through the combination of text and audio-visual interaction, children are allowed to learn about the traditions, myths, and specialty foods and desserts of Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, and Cambodia. The exhibition will be held on the fourth level of the Kaohsiung Public Library Main Building from March 28 to June 25.

According to the Kaohsiung Public Library, the National Science and Technology Museum and the special exhibition "KidsFest of 5 ASEAN Countries" jointly planned three main themes, namely the myths and legends of the five Southeast Asian nations, traditional snacks and spices, and food at various stages. various living manners and development traditions. There are interactive audio-visual devices as well as a small book fair with approximately a hundred publications about Southeast Asia. Using reading and audio-visual interaction, hoping to achieve the dual goals of entertaining and instructing.

More than 20,000 new immigrants from Southeast Asian nations have recently moved to Kaohsiung City, according to the acting director (林奕成) of the Kaohsiung Public Library. The multiculturalism of Kaohsiung will hopefully be highlighted through the exhibition, giving the kids of new immigrants’ additional chances to learn about their parents' origin.
