[Taiwan Immigrants’ Global News Network] To help new immigrants who have not obtained Taiwanese household registration in Taoyuan City with economic support measures, and assist families with special circumstances with return airplane tickets, and to secure financial situation of new immigrants who have not obtained Taiwanese household registration, the Social Affairs Department of Taoyuan City Government applied for funding from the "New Immigrant Development Fund" (新住民發展基金) of the Ministry of the Interior.

The target of this project is the new immigrants of Taoyuan City who have not obtained Taiwanese household registration, providing low-income new immigrants who have not obtained Taiwanese household registration family emergency assistance and medical subsidies and other related economic assistance measures.
The eligibility for application must be registered with a citizen of Taoyuan City, including marital relationship, widowhood, divorce and independent custody of children, and other reasons for legal residence in Taiwan. New immigrants who comply with relevant household income, movable and immovable property regulations, and have lived in Taiwan for more than 183 days in the past year can apply.

If the medical subsidies for new immigrants who have not obtained Taiwanese household registration meet the conditions, they can apply within 3 months after seeing a doctor or being discharged from the hospital. However, those who have obtained national health insurance and are able to acquire medical benefits are not allowed to apply again. If the household population dies and is unable to burial, or suffers accidental injury or serious illness, leading to life difficulties, the application must be submitted within 3 months from the date of the occurrence of the emergency. Only once, for the newly added round-trip air ticket subsidy, applicants must also comply with the "Regulations on Supporting Families in Special Circumstances", and can apply according to needs.

Relevant application documents for the application form for the social assistance and flight ticket subsidy program for new immigrants of Taoyuan City who have not obtained Taiwanese household registration and families in special circumstances includes a copy of the residence permit, a copy of the cover of the post office or bank passbook, and a copy of the receipt, and other application documentation required.
