The National Central Library becomes 90 years old this year. On April 22, the eve before World Reading Day, the director (曾淑賢) of the National Central Library, accompanied the heads of the seven National Libraries to visit the Kaohsiung Public Library's main branch and engage in discussion. The mayor of Kaohsiung (陳其邁) was present as well.

The International Picture Book Center at the Kaohsiung Public Library was visited by a group of librarians from seven different countries, including Germany, Canada, the Czech Republic, Poland, Estonia, Lithuania, and Singapore, according to the Kaohsiung Public Library. The group saw books of transnational aspects in 27 languages and 43 different countries in the International Picture Book Center as well.

The mayor is thrilled to be able to interact with leading library figures from across the world thanks to the National Central Library.
