This year marks the return of the Indian Holi Festival. The Taoyuan City Government, Mayur Indian Kitchen, and Yuan Ze University are all involved in co-organizing it. It was hosted on the grassland of Yuan Ze University on March 11, allowing the public to enjoy it in Taiwan Indian traditional festival.

One of the three important celebrations having a lengthy history in India is the Holi Festival. In Hindi, the word "Holi" means "color festival," and it unites people of all racial and skin tones. Everyone is colorful, sings and dances, shares unique foods, breaks down barriers between cultures, is tolerant of one another, and everyone celebrates Holi Festival together. Traditional Indian food is served throughout the event, and guests are typically given colorful gouache to use as forehead blessings by smearing the paint on one another.

With the development of internationalization, this traditional Indian festival has also been extended to the globe, and more and more foreign students come to Taiwan to study. Therefore, for Indian students in Taiwan, the Holi Festival can bring the joy of their hometown and share the traditional culture and customs with Taiwanese students.

It is advised that participants in the Holi Festival dress simply but be ready to get colored all over their bodies. Participants should also bring waterproof electrical devices.
