Miaoli Tung Blossom Festival: Miaoli County to organize a series of little trips of five locations that are good for seeing both flowers and fireflies

The tung blossoms in Miaoli County are in full bloom in April and May. To promote the activities of observing tung flowers and fireflies in Miaoli as well as the culinary tradition of Hakka Village in Miaoli, the Miaoli County Government will host an event during the tung blossom season with the township and municipal offices in the county. Additionally, Miaoli County is organizing a series of little trips of five locations that are good for seeing both flowers and fireflies.

This year's Miaoli Tung Blossom Festival has "Return to Nature" and "Creativity and Culture" as its themes, and a half-day trip (好客桐樂半日遊) will be offered, according to the Culture and Tourism Bureau of Miao County. The Culture and Tourism Bureau of Miao County also worked with township and municipal offices to organize five tung flower tours, giving the public access to enjoy the Miaoli's full tung blossom in April and May.

The "2023 Maoli Hakka Tung Blossom Festival" (2023貓裏客家桐花祭) will take place in Maoli Mountain (貓裏山) in Miaoli City on April 29. The entire trek is roughly 3 kilometers long, the event is absolutely free, and there is no need to register in advance. Participants who complete the hiking route and obtain two hand stamps can also exchange the stamps for Tung Blossom commemorative T-shirts.
