Universal Cash for All: New Immigrants share Economic Gains with Permanent Residents

 Along with Taiwanese citizens, foreigners who have obtained an Alien Permanent Resident Certificate (APRC), foreign spouses of Taiwan nationals from China, Hong Kong, Macau, and other countries, including foreign spouses with an Alien Resident Certificate (ARC), are all eligible to take part in this universal cash for all project in order to spread the benefits of the fight against the economy to the entire population. More than 150,000 people are anticipated to benefit from and distribute the NT$6,000 tax rebate provided by the government.

National Immigration Agency stated that five flexible and practical collection methods, including “cash collection at ATM” and “cash collection at post office.”

An additional method, which is to sign up on the official website and then transfer the money directly to the person's specified account is provided with those who found methods above are inconvenient. One can pre-register on the website from March 22 to March 27, 2023, and it will be available to view the pre-registration results on March 28. If the system cannot determine the identity of the spouse of a Taiwanese citizen who is residing in Taiwan for another reason, such as employment, investment, or possession of a Taiwan Employment Gold Card, one can call the service centers of NIA where you are located and make a note in the system after confirmation. The following day after becoming a “National’s spouse” on system, one can cash out the NT$6,000.

National Immigration Agency appeals to the general public to be alerted on fraudulent mails and to keep in mind the "don't click, don't fill out, don't remit the money, and don't transfer the money" rule. The government WILL NOT send text messages or emails to notify the general public to log in to receive money, nor will request you to transfer money to an ATM or online banking by phone. If you have questions about receiving the NT$6,000 in cash, you can call the service hotline 1990, 1988 the special line of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, or the consultation service hotline 1996, which are all available in Chinese, English, Japanese, Vietnamese, Indian, Thai, and Cambodian.
