The Ministry of Education (MOE) sent letters of reminders to various educational institutions all over Taiwan to promote epidemic prevention safety in schools.
"Do not go to work, or go to school (garden leave)" if you have a fever, dry cough, and other suspected symptoms of the COVID-19 virus. Stay home and seek medical attention as soon as possible. It is also advised to avoid riding public transportation.

The MOE stated that classrooms, learning areas, toilets, and common spaces must be cleaned and disinfected daily' student transportation vehicles with fixed seating must also be disinfected regularly.
Attendance must also be taken regularly. During mealtime, students must eat with partitions placed between them and are encouraged not to speak while eating. The dining areas must also be cleaned and disinfected after use.
The MOE reminds parents as well to pay attention to the health of their children and to take their temperatures daily before going to school. If any suspected symptoms appear, they must stay home and avoid going to school and continue their classes at home.

Students, teachers, and staff must also have their body temperatures checked regularly before going to school.
