The Kaohsiung Municipal Social Education Center hosted the preliminary round of the fifth New Immigrants Singing Competition, inviting both new immigrants and second-generation immigrants as well as local students who enjoy singing in languages of Southeast Asia.
For new immigrants who enjoy singing, the Kaohsiung Municipal Social Education Center has recently provided a professional singing platform. The fifth New Immigrants Singing Competition will take place this year with the goal of encouraging new immigrants to integrate into the community and take part in a variety of recreational activities.
Lunch boxes and participation prizes are available to all contestants. The prize fund is NT$ 35,000 in total. Following the preliminary round, a lottery event with substantial rewards will take place. A 32-inch LCD TV serves as the special reward.
In order to help new immigrants and second-generation immigrants from various cultural backgrounds develop their performance skills and pronunciation knowledge prior to the competition, there is also a team of professional teachers available to assist with these contestants. Through training and direction, these immigrants can increase their singing confidence.
