African swine fever detected in pork sausages originating from Thailand

New immigrants must be careful when sending Lunar New Year gifts. The Taiwanese government detected the African swine fever in a parcel of pork sausages. The parcel was confirmed to originate from Thailand. (Read more: African swine fever detected in pork sausages originating from Thailand)

Digital COVID-19 Certificate is open for application

Taiwan is now officially a part of the European Union’s (EU) “Digital COVID Certification” system. The CECC announced that the public can now apply and show the certificate when flying to European countries to save processing time. (Read more: Digital COVID-19 Certificate is open for application)

MOL announces extension for migrant worker work permit

To avoid labor shortage in Taiwan during the epidemic, the Ministry of Labor (MOL) announced that the work permit validity for migrant workers can automatically be extended for 3 months. New Taipei Campus launched the "Chinese Language Course" for new immigrants!

Schools in New Taipei City hold “Chinese Language Courses” for new immigrants. The schools prepared glutinous rice balls for students to enjoy.
