On August 13, the Yuanshan Township Library and the NIA Yilan County Service Center organized a storytelling activity for young readers of English picture books. As a storyteller, Landman Maria Elizabeth was invited to engage the kids in fun activities including sharing picture books, singing songs, DIY, and playing games.

This time, Landman Maria Elizabeth, a new South African immigrant who has lived in Taiwan for many years, was invited to interact with the kids. Maria Elizabeth Landman was a former music teacher. She turned the plot of the well-known picture book narrative Green Eggs and Ham into nursery rhymes for the kids during the activity, and they all sang the song together.

The township leader (張宜樺)thanked Landman Maria Elizabeth for visiting the Yuanshan Township Library over the summer break to read books to the kids and make them happy.

Last year, 64-year-old Landman Maria Elizabeth was successful received the Alien Resident Certificate. Her son and daughter have lived in Taiwan for a long time, and their son has a Taiwan ID card and has also been naturalized.
