The Ministry of Education supported the International Schweitzer Program and funded 253 programs and a total of 1,977 educators and students for internships overseas in an effort to foster the global perspective of Taiwanese educators. The National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, University of Taipei, and National Taitung University traveled to Kenya and Thailand this summer to provide cross-border educational services and support for the underprivileged, exemplifying their commitment to excellence and professional service.

In order to give local kids in Kenya access to digital educational tools and assistance, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology has recruited eight educators to serve in local schools there. To assist schools in promoting the digitalization of education, include the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as well as procedural logic thinking into teaching courses.

To give Chinese language instruction to local kids and teacher support programs, thirteen instructors from the Taipei City University and National Taitung University International Schweitzer Program Team traveled to Chinese primary schools in the foothills of northern Thailand. In order to buy information technology for the local elementary schools and add additional electronic courses to keep up with modern technological growth, the team also gathered money and recycled PCs.
