[Taiwan Immigrants’ Global News Network] Changhua County Immigrant Family Service Center (彰化縣新住民家庭服務中心) has been serving new immigrant families for more than 16 years. It has accompanied many families through difficulties. During the service process, the center discovered that many new immigrants who came to Taiwan due to marriages start to work soon after arriving in Taiwan. Unfortunately, many new immigrants are unaware of various relevant laws and "social insurance," including national annuities, agriculture insurance, and labor insurance. They are unable to defend their own rights and interests due to the evolution of insurance systems in different nations, and they are also unable to appreciate the significance of financial planning and analysis.
The Changhua County Immigrant Family Service Center (彰化縣新住民家庭服務中心) has opened financial management courses since 2021 to solve the problem of insufficient financial management knowledge for new immigrants. A lecturer (林珮瑜) with more than 15 years of teaching experience in financial management courses was invited to teach financial management knowledge, explain the importance of it, and help participants understand the relationship between social insurance and financial management and improve the idea of financial management by tracking expenses to comprehend how the family's income and expenses are distributed.
