  • 2023 New Taipei Arts Festival features fireworks shows, markets and performances

The New Taipei City Government will host the "2023 New Taipei Arts Festival" from June 30 to July 6, which will serve as a bridge between the Yingge Ceramics Museum and the New Taipei City Art Museum. Three Saturdays and Sundays in a row will see the debut of different activities during the event. Additionally, beginning on July 8, the activity (草地吧-野餐共聚) will last for two consecutive weekends.

  • Taiwan International Balloon Festival will be held from the end of June to August

Taiwan International Ballon Festival, Taitung's most exciting annual event, takes place at Taitung Luye Highland every summer from the end of June to the beginning of August. There are more than 50 hot air balloons from different countries, as well as stunning light and fireworks shows. The balloons at the event not only included well-known cartoon characters from the United States, UK, and Japan, they also debuted Mazu-shaped balloons for the first time.

  • Beware of fraudulent groups pretending to be relatives and friends on LINE

Fraudsters have improved their techniques significantly, and they now regularly employ communication apps or online social networks as platforms. Taiwanese users of the messaging app LINE have just made one of the most frequent techniques by scammers. According to LINE, there are many fraudsters who will first steal other people's accounts, then fake as their relatives and friends and hope to trick users into providing information like phone numbers, authentication codes, and passwords.

The "phone number," "password," and "SMS code" provided by the LINE account are not to be shared with anybody, even if they are someone you know well, LINE urges.
