The Passport to Taiwan Festival, which had been put on hold at Union Square, New York, for three years owing to the epidemic, was once more hosted there. Many New York officials of Taiwanese descent were present to support it. This year, the Tainan City Government took an active part in the event as well and gave away cultural and artistic objects from Tainan to attendees.

Every year more than tens of thousands of people attend the Passport to Taiwan Festival. One of the longest and biggest Taiwan events ever hosted in the US. The Festival has a variety of unique Taiwanese foods that draw large crowds who wait in line to sample them. It also features a number of folk music performances that highlight the richness of Taiwanese culture.

According to the event's founder, the organizers are thrilled that Americans have not forgotten about the festival and hope that it may continue to be conducted annually in light of the passionate attendees. The event draws tens of thousands of participants each year, according to the chairman of the Overseas Community Affairs Council. Tourists from all over the world are welcome to join in it in addition to residents of New York.

The acting director of the tourism bureau also mentioned how eager he is to work with the Passport to Taiwan Festival to bring more foreign visitors to Taiwan and allow them to experience the energy and allure of Taiwanese cities.
