The tourism in Taiwan is gradually rebounding as it gets over the effects of three-year epidemic. In an effort to attract more tourists from abroad, the Tourism Bureau of the Kaohsiung City Government recently teamed up with the Taiwan Representative Office, Budapest, Hungary and the Taiwan Visitors Association to have Kaohsiung attractions successively featured in the largest travel magazine in Hungary, "Világjáró," and the bimonthly Japanese edition of "Taiwan Sightseeing" (台灣觀光) to attract visitors come to Kaohsiung.

Hungary's largest travel magazine " Világjáró" featured Kaohsiung's Lianchihtan (Lotus Pond) and The Dragon and Tiger Pagodas on the cover of its March “International Travel Exhibition Special Issue". In addition to introducing the process of Kaohsiung's transformation from an industrial city to a cultural capital, it also mentions that many past industrial factories have gradually transformed into art and cultural venues. In this issue of the magazine, the main attractions in Kaohsiung are Love River, The Pier-2 Art Centre, Qi Jing Bathing Beach, Night View of Asia New Bay Area, Fo Guang Shan, The Tianliao Moon World, and special itineraries related to food and night markets.

According to the Tourism Bureau, Kaohsiung City, the Taiwan Representative Office, Budapest, Hungary and the Taiwan Visitors Association are working together to promote Kaohsiung in the European and Japanese travel sectors, and advertise the top attractions in Kaohsiung.
