In order to promote Taiwanese pop music abroad, Mike McLaughlin also collaborated with Keith Stuart, a well-known American producer who was honored with a Golden Melody Award for Special Contribution. This not only made it possible for Taiwanese singers to perform in front of enormous audiences in the US, but it also helped Taiwanese pop music gain popularity in both American and European music world.
