No need to panic during the epidemic! Use “Line@移點通”to help you get through!
Because of language barriers, migrant workers might not understand the relevant regulations on epidemic prevention and on personal protection, which may lead to risk of infection. At present, the Ministry of Labor (勞動部) has set up "Line@移點通” multi-lingual version for migrant workers. It has Chinese, English, Indonesian, Thai, and Vietnamese versions, to update migrant workers with the latest epidemic prevention information and measures using their own native language so everybody can work together to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

The National Immigration Agency Central District Taichung City First Service Station (移民署中區事務大隊臺中市第一服務站) has interpreters in the station who can help migrant workers on how to join “Line@移點通”. At the same time, they help employers, the public, and manpower agencies who submit applications at the counter. This way, they can send exclusive “Line@移點通” links to the migrant workers so epidemic prevention information will be more transparent.
In addition, the NIA is cooperating with the rapid screening stations in various regions to promote the "Migrant Population Safe Testing and Epidemic Prevention Project" (外來人口安心採檢防疫專案), encouraging migrants with suspected Covid-19 symptoms to be tested and to seek medical treatment. Whether the migrant is a legal, illegal or an overstaying resident, he should go to the nearest screening station for testing, to protect himself, his family, and his friends.
